Safe!

Up to 7 days a week

Guinea pigs should not eat ripe red tomatoes as they can be high in sugar and can contain oxalic acid which may contribute to the formation of bladder stones. Additionally, the leaves and stems of tomatoes are poisonous to guinea pigs.

However, ripe red tomatoes can be a delicious addition to a varied diet for guinea pigs, as long as they make up only a small portion of their overall staple vegetables. It is important to ensure that guinea pigs get a minimum of 5 leafy greens to maintain a balanced diet.
