Is Kale safe for Guinea Pigs?

127

Safe!

Up to 7 days a week

Guinea pigs can eat kale as a delicious addition to their varied diet, and it has good vitamin C levels. However, if they have known urinary tract issues, such as crystalluria or stone formation, kale is too high in calcium and can also pose a risk of bloating. Overall, kale can be fine for most piggies on a varied diet, but should be given in moderation.

Vitamin C (per 100g): 120 mg
Calcium (per 100g): 150 mg
