Is Grapes, Red Or Green safe for Guinea Pigs?

68

Safe!

1-2 times a week

Guinea pigs should only eat grapes as an occasional treat because they contain high amounts of sugar – a pet guinea pig should have no more than one grape a week to prevent health issues such as obesity and dental problems. The high sugar content in grapes means that guinea pigs should eat them sparingly to avoid potential health complications. Therefore, it is best to offer grapes to guinea pigs on a limited basis.

Vitamin C (per 100g): 3.2 mg
Calcium (per 100g): 10 mg
