Safe!

2-3 times a week

Guinea pigs can eat beet greens/leaves occasionally, but it should be fed sparingly due to its high calcium and oxalic acid content. Oxalic acid can bind nutrients and act as a mild irritant, but it’s important to note that most of the oxalate found in urine is produced by the body rather than absorbed from food.

Vitamin C (per 100g): 30 mg
Calcium (per 100g): 117 mg
