Can my Guinea Pig eat Persimmon (Japanese)?

74

Yes they can!

1-2 times a week

Guinea pigs can eat persimmon as an occasional treat because it is high in sugar. A pet guinea pig should have no more than a 1 cm x 1 cm piece per week. It should be fed in very small portions to avoid causing health issues due to the high sugar content.

Vitamin C (per 100g): 7.5 mg
Calcium (per 100g): 8 mg
