Can my Guinea Pig eat Melon Cantaloupe (Rock Melon)?

52

Yes they can!

1-2 times a week

Guinea pigs can eat melon cantaloupe as an occasional treat because it is high in sugar. They should have no more than a 1 cm x 1 cm piece twice a week and should be fed in small amounts to prevent overconsumption of sugar which can lead to health issues such as obesity and dental problems in guinea pigs.

Vitamin C (per 100g): 36.7 mg
